Healthcare Consultant

Our Group Risk and Healthcare services are growing and we’re currently looking for a new Healthcare Consultant to manage our existing clients and to assist in developing our Group Risk business.

The Role

You will manage and administer a growing portfolio of healthcare clients, ensuring that excellent customer service is provided.  The role will involve regular client contact and some back office administration, and providing support to Senior Consultants / Directors as required.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for consultancy advice and business development/growth of healthcare portfolio of clients including the more complex schemes
  • Assist in developing and increasing the portfolio of healthcare clients and increasing its profitability
  • Participate in project and tenders work as required
  • Install and assist in setting up new arrangements
  • Write/draft comprehensive reports, detailing market review findings, recommendations and specification of cover for client presentation and client reviews
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and providers to safeguard high clients satisfaction levels
  • Handle and resolve the day to day queries both relating to new and existing business, liaising between colleagues, providers and clients
  • Ensure the appropriate implementation of policies including assisting clients with all relevant documents and regulations
  • Identify and oversee any changes/restructuring needs of clients’ healthcare arrangements
  • Assist, monitor and manage claims on behalf of the client, as required
  • Create and maintain client files both electronically and in paper form
  • To pro-actively work within the team to manage portfolio so overall client goals are met in accordance with specified objectives and constraints
  • Conduct review according to renewal schedule for all assigned clients

The Candidate

We are looking for someone who has wide Group Risk and Healthcare industry knowledge with at least 2/3 years healthcare experience with an Employee Benefits Consultancy, National IFA or provider office.  You must have strong business development skills as well as strong technical skill. You should be ambitious and entrepreneurial with a professional attitude.  You must have excellent organisation skills and be able to prioritise work – you will be managing and developing a sizable and growing healthcare portfolio.
